The Secret of Cicun’s Great Taste: Premium Water Sourced from Phoenix Mountain’s Deep Rock Strata

When we open a bottle of soda, what we first perceive may be the fruity aroma or the fizz. Yet it is often the most overlooked ingredient—water—that defines its fundamental quality.

On the border of Northeast China lies Phoenix Mountain, hailed as the “Famous Mountain at the National Gate.” More than just a geographical boundary, this mountain range serves as a natural ecological barrier. After years of exploration, the water source survey team of Cicun finally found their ideal water source 200 meters underground here. The water from these deep rock veins, having undergone natural purification and mineralization through the rock strata, has formed unique water quality characteristics. Hidden deep beneath the underground rock layers, the water source is completely isolated from surface pollution and maintains its most pristine state. Every drop of spring water must seep through the rock strata over a long period before reaching Cicun’s water intake point.

The unique geological structure of Fenghuang Mountain in China gives rise to its distinctive water quality. Underground rock strata act as a natural filtration system, purifying rainwater and snowmelt layer by layer while infusing it with an optimal balance of minerals. “Unlike ordinary surface water or shallow groundwater,” explains a water source expert at Cicun, “deep underground rock vein water boasts more stable and pure quality. The rock strata not only filter out impurities but also bring the water to a state of natural balance.” This naturally filtered water, enriched with a unique mineral composition imparted by the rock formations, provides an ideal foundation for subsequent beverage production. Its purity allows the fruity aroma to fully emanate, while its natural mineral content lends a smoother, more refined taste.

Good water deserves gentle treatment!

In Cicun’s factories, the spring water drawn from the depths of Phoenix Mountain is directly transported to the production line via dedicated food-grade pipelines. To maximize the preservation of the water’s natural properties, Cicun adopts a low-temperature cold filling process, ensuring no alterations to the water quality during processing. “Good water deserves gentle treatment,” notes the production supervisor. “We refrain from over-processing the water source, as this would compromise nature’s gift. Our mission is to retain the water’s inherent purity, allowing it to serve as the perfect carrier for fruity flavors.”
